Instructional Assistant – Special Education Silver Creek High School ASAP Full-Time April 15, 2024 until filled
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
•Work with students of all disabilities
•Use assigned instructional learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment
•Maintain confidentiality
•Report to supervising teachers and follow assigned plans
•Adjust to flexible schedules and tasks as needed.
•Supervise teacher planned activities
•Assist special education students with assignments/projects, individually or in groups
•Assist in preparation of instructional materials
•Escort students under direction of the teacher, as needed
•Attend training in Safe Crisis Management as, needed
•Train in specialized interventions for students, as needed
•Maintain accurate performance records of students and communicate progress to supervisor Support students inthe general education environment, as assigned.
•Work cooperatively with others
•Support the Mission Statement of the district and school
•Have good verbal and written communication skills.
•Physically assist students as needed
•Attend staff and team meetings.
•Perform other duties as assigned
•Maintain punctual and regular attendance
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:
•48 credit hours of college level classes OR High School Diploma and Pass the Para-Pro Assessment withinthe first year of employment. May consider other credentials.
