Job Summary: River Heritage Conservancy/Origin Park is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development and Membership Manager to join our team. This role focuses on the stewardship and cultivation of donors, growing the membership program, and managing fundraising events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission, at least 3 years of fundraising experience, and a proven track record in donor cultivation, event management, and database management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
    • Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at all giving levels.
    • Maintain relationships with existing donors and ensure they receive regular updates and acknowledgments.
    • Create and execute personalized engagement plans for top prospects and major donors.
    • Manage a portfolio of donors that is focused on donor retention and increased giving over time.
  • Membership Program:
    • Develop and execute strategies to grow and retain the park's membership base.
    • Oversee membership communications and ensure a high level of member satisfaction.
    • Plan and implement membership drives and promotional campaigns.
  • Fundraising Events:
    • Plan, organize, and oversee fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community events.
    • Manage event logistics, budgets, and timelines.
    • Coordinate with vendors, volunteers, and staff to ensure successful event execution.
  • Database Management:
    • Maintain accurate donor and membership records in the database.
    • Generate reports to analyze fundraising performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the Director of Development and other team members to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling donor communications and marketing materials.
    • Represent Origin Park at community events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience, including donor cultivation, fundraising events, and database management.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in fundraising databases and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
