Human Resources Administrator
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding tasks for potential new hires and employees. This position provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers to ensure quality HR Administration experience. This role supports managers and employees in coordinating human resources activities including safety and wellness, employee relations, and benefits.

$47,100.00/year – $58,100.00/year | Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Tasks
- Effectively manage full life cycle recruitment for exempt and nonexempt employees, students, and temporary employees. Duties include coordinating and participating in job fairs and hiring events; writing and placing job postings; reviewing applications and resumes; scheduling and interviewing applicants; and submitting recommendations to hiring managers.
- Participate in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective recruitment strategies. Create and foster relationships with community and professional organizations to attract and proactively source qualified talent.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, including but not limited to conducting new hire orientation, completion/review of new hire paperwork including I-9 verifications, background checks and drug screens. Conduct exit interviews and other duties relating to separation of employment.
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support HR team members with company-wide events, including service awards banquet, retiree luncheon, Lunch and Learns, and other special celebrations. Support the Health, Wellness and Benefits programs, including internal and external events, meetings, communications, and community involvement.
- Identify innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees/reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications – Experience – Training
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is valued. SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
- 1–2 years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably in recruitment and onboarding.
A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated. Successful performance on pre-employment tests is required. Reasonable accommodation may be provided for those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience with recruiting and onboarding initiatives.
- Experience with Human Capital Management system (HCM).
- Maintain current knowledge of Title VII, Civil Rights Act, ADA, FMLA, Fair Labor Standards Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and National Labor Relations Act.
- Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, or similar software programs. Must be proficient in Internet-based programs.
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented and organized. Experience in conflict resolution a plus.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build trusting relationships and impact, influence, and collaborate with all levels of the organization and other key stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as within a team with a high level of professionalism, personal integrity, and dependability.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
