The company is looking for an HR Generalist to join their team and make a direct impact by supporting every stage of the employee lifecycle — from recruitment to retention, onboarding to offboarding, and everything in between.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of HR functions while building strong partnerships with employees, managers, and leadership to support business goals and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. Position is onsite but has work flexibility if needed. Salary range at $90-$100k plus full benefit package.
Highlighted Duties:
- Serve as a key HR resource across payroll, employee relations, training, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compliance.
- Provide day-to-day support and coaching to managers and employees on policies, processes, and performance improvement.
- Coordinate hiring efforts including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection for full-time, part-time, and co-op roles. Some travel may be required.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs that set new hires up for success.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain and organize personnel files, training records, and required postings.
- Support short-term disability and FMLA processes in partnership with third-party providers.
- Assist in collective bargaining agreement interpretation and related documentation.
- Analyze data to inform HR decisions and support strategic initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement through training, development programs, and exit interviews.
- Lead or support special HR projects and initiatives that align with company values and culture.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business preferred
- SHRM or HRCI Certifications a plus
- 3+ years in HR (with a HS diploma) or 1+ year (with an Associate degree)
- Union manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Workday experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and adapt to change
