Talis Group’s client is a large, prestigious, award-winning, multi-state law firm that has been recognized for excellence and innovation.  They are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor for their Louisville office.  This role will oversee AP and Expense Reimbursement functions, and provide assistance & backup to the AP Specialist, Accounting Assistant, and other team members as needed.

The hours are Mon-Friday, 8am-5pm and will provide a hybrid option after initial 30 days, where you can work remotely 2 days a week.  The salary range is $60-$65k, with full benefits and paid time off.  

Highlighted Duties:

  • Oversee AP functions & expense reimbursement payments, ensuring accurate coding and timely processing.  
  • Support the AP Specialist with invoice entry, check requests, credit card transactions, wires/ACH transactions, vendor set up, and reconciliations.
  • Utilize Emburse Enterprise (Chrome River) software for invoice, expense reimbursements, and credit card processing.
  • Release vendor and escrow payments via wire/ACH transactions.
  • Prepare/post journal entries, manage credit card accounts, approve reconciliations & generate reports.
  • Serve as AR backup: post payments, monitor incoming wires/ACHs, and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Assist with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, data analysis, and process documentation.
  • Support month-end close, external audits, and annual 1099 processing.
  • Respond to internal/external inquiries & contribute to special projects and process improvements. 

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience of similar work, preferable in a law firm or professional organization.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Chrome River systems preferred (but not required.)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (must know formulas) and PDF documents.
  • Dependable team player, proactive with troubleshooting, problem resolution, attention to detail, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to adapt to an evolving work environment & participate in testing & implementation of new processes when necessary.
  • Maintain professionalism & strict confidentiality for all client & Firm matters.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
