This position is responsible for all key aspects of Human Resources including recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, training, leave administration, compensation/payroll, company policy enforcement and for performing a variety of other human resource functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinating open enrollment for benefit plans, employee meetings and administering benefit billing.
  • Administering COBRA, Disability and Family & Medical Leave programs
  • Administering Health Savings Accounts
  • Serving as the primary ‘go to’ person for benefits-related questions.
  • Scheduling quarterly 401(k) enrollment meetings
  • Processing and tracking benefit changes, enrollments, status changes, etc.
  • Maintaining tuition reimbursement program
  • Processing Worker’s Compensation claims
  • Policy Administration and Interpretation
  • Serve as back-up for processing semi-monthly payroll; includes data input and review.
  • Participate in various audits.
  • Administer Performance Management process including performance reviews and engagement surveys.
  • Preparing/maintaining various management reports, spreadsheets, checklists, HR metrics
  • Compensation program administration including participating in compensation surveys.
  • Producing annual EEO reports, Vets Reporting and Affirmative Action Plan
  • Serve as Admin in our LMS Training program to create, implement and upload HR related training courses and information and administer annual compliance HR related training.
  • Administering NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator registration and renewal processes, maintain registrations.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions.
  • Responsible for attracting new employees including job postings, attending job fairs and creating partnerships with local schools/agencies.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and processing of new employees, including performing pre-employment background checks and conducting new hire orientation
  • Processing terminated employees, including exit interviews and Unemployment processes.
  • Collaborating with managers to resolve employee relations issues and participate in investigations.
  • Responsible for adherence to bank’s operational compliance and security policies and applicable state and federal laws.
  • This position is expected to understand the significant control procedures and the compliance policies related to day-to-day job duties. All control procedures that this position has responsibility for accomplishing, as well as those for which it has direct oversight, will be accomplished according to policies and procedures. This position is responsible for understanding and following all federal and regulatory policies and is responsible for the compliance of all direct reports. This position is responsible for disclosing to the Asset-Liability Committee all commitments, contracts or other agreements that it enters into or changes, or that it may be aware of from other areas of the company.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification highly desired
  • Minimum 5+ years’ Human Resources experience, including experience with payroll processing (preferably KRONOS), recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits administration.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills are crucial for managing employee interactions and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Strong analytical skills required to analyze HR data.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information and ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Presents a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental and external representatives.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with proficiency in or the ability to quickly learn HRIS systems.

 

 

CRA REQUIREMENT:

Expected to understand the bank's obligations under the Community Reinvestment Act and how to fulfill them. Expected to cooperate with and support the bank's CRA program. Will be held accountable for any lack of cooperation that weakens the bank's CRA performance, as reflected in internal audits, agency examinations and/or community projects.
