Warehouse Clerk

Position Overview

At Flooring Concepts, we’ve built our reputation over nearly three decades by providing top-quality commercial and residential flooring solutions throughout Southern Indiana and the surrounding region. The Warehouse Clerk helps keep our warehouse organized and running smoothly.

This job supports our installers, office team, and accounting team. The Warehouse Clerk makes sure materials are received, stored, and sent out correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Materials

• Receive deliveries and check them against purchase orders.
• Label and store materials by job.
• Pull the correct materials for installers.
• Complete transfer sheets on all inventory that leaves warehouse.
• Conduct regular inventory counts.
• Organize remnants and other leftover materials for reuse or donation.
• Report damaged or missing items.

Warehouse Organization and Maintenance

• Keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Label shelves and materials clearly.
• Check tools and equipment including forklift and pole, pallet jack, ladders, etc.
• Follow safety guidelines.

Building and Yard Care

• Keep shrubs and yard trimmed.
• Manage trash, dumpster, pallets and flooring waste.

Other Duties

• Perform small repairs as needed.

• Monitor stock levels and report low inventory.
• Help with warehouse projects such as material labeling or safety checks.
• Attend weekly team meetings.

Qualifications

• Warehouse and inventory experience preferred.
• Flooring installation experience preferred.
• Forklift certified or willing to get certified.
• Computer filing, data entry, & email proficiency.
• Organized and dependable.
• Can safely lift and move materials up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor environment.
