Carpenter’s Apprentice – Custom Woodworking

We are seeking a dependable, motivated Carpenter’s Apprentice to join our custom woodworking team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in building and installing custom doors, cabinets, casework, mouldings, and other architectural woodwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced carpenters with fabrication, assembly, and installation
• Learn to measure, cut, shape, sand, and assemble wood components
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment under supervision
• Read a tape measure and learn basic building mathematics
• Load, unload, organize, and protect materials and finished products
• Prepare work areas and clean up the shop and job sites
• Follow instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Perform other shop and job-site duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• No professional carpentry experience is required; training will be provided
• Interest in carpentry, cabinetmaking, millwork, or construction
• Basic familiarity with hand and power tools is helpful
• Willingness to learn and accept instruction
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with others
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods; bend, kneel, climb, push, and pull; and regularly lift and carry heavy or bulky materials. Work will take place in both shop and job-site environments and may involve dust, noise, and changing temperatures.
