Donation Classifier

MISSION

To connect survivors of childhood sexual abuse with counseling, education, and support that leads to healing and the prevention of future abuse in our communities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Donation Classifier sorts, inspects, prices, and prepares donated goods for the sales floor safely and efficiently. This role supports store operations, donor stewardship, and the mission of The Mustard Seed Thrift by ensuring we are good stewards of donated items.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Inspect items for quality, safety, and resale readiness.
• Ensure donations are sorted and priced to ensure we are good stewards of donations received.
• Maintain a clean, organized donation-processing area.
• Support pricing workflow from donation intake to floor-ready merchandise.
• Address donation issues, quality concerns, or workflow needs, and communicating to leadership when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with stock associates, cashiers, and volunteers.
• Uphold the mission and values of The Mustard Seed Thrift in all interactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Comfort working with a high volume of donated goods.
• Ability to follow established pricing and sorting guidelines.
• Dependable attendance and consistent work habits.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
• Customer and donor service awareness.
• Retail, warehouse, or thrift store experience preferred.
• Experience working with donations or inventory preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
